UPS Return Label Settings | Overview

When you connect your UPS account to ShippingEasy, you have the option to create return labels using UPS services.

Return labels are not available for UPS Surepost and Mail Innovation services.

UPS Return Label Options

UPS Return options include:

  • Print and/or Email the Return Labels to Customer: Create and print a UPS return label, then have it automatically emailed to the customer via ShippingEasy. Learn more about ShippingEasy's automated return shipment emails.
  • 1 UPS Pickup Attempt from Customer: Arrange for UPS to create and deliver a return shipping label to your customer and collect the item for return on the following business day. UPS will attempt to pickup the return package from your customer once. If the pickup is unsuccessful, the driver will leave the return label at your customers location. Then, it is the customers responsibility to put the label on the package and drop it off at a UPS location to be shipped. As of January 2020, this UPS return label cost $6.00 on top of the postage fee.
  • 3 UPS Pickup Attempts from Customer: Arrange for UPS to create and deliver a return shipping label to your customer and collect the item for return on the following business day. UPS will attempt to pickup the return package from your customer up to three times from the specified address. As of January 2020, this UPS return label cost $8.20 on top of the postage fee.

Setting the UPS Return Shipment Method in ShippingEasy

The best option for creating a UPS return label in ShippingEasy is to set your UPS Return Shipment Method to UPS Print Return Label (PRL). Selecting a different option may result in an error when purchasing a return label.

Use these steps to set UPS Print Return Label (PRL) as the UPS return shipment method for your ShippingEasy account.

  1. From the top right corner of ShippingEasy, click POSTAGE AND CARRIERS page.
  2. Scroll down to the UPS logo and click Manage Account under your UPS account information.
  3. Expand the Return Shipment Method menu and select "UPS Return Shipment Method to UPS Print Return Label (PRL)".

  4. Click the blue Update button at the bottom of the page to save the change.
