Troubleshoot: USB scale is not reading weight

If you are having trouble with the connectivity of your USB scale with ShippingEasy, follows these steps to verify your scale is working:

Navigate to Settings >> Hardware & Devices >> SCALES. Place an item on your scale and clicking the “Get Weight” button. The reading on the scale should match the weight that appears in the field. 

If the weight isn't reading:

1. Unplug your scale from your computer and then reconnect it.

2. You may need to try unplugging the scale, restarting your computer and then plugging it in again.

If you have problems that require extra assistance, feel free to reach out to our Customer Success team.
  • Paid subscribers (Basic and above plans) will see links to email, call, or chat in the upper left corner in app.

    I did everything said, I spent 2 hours trying to get it to integrate but it will not work. The scale works. the scale software works, just will not work with ShippingEasy

    Hello Robert,

    Sorry to see that you're running into trouble integrating your scale.  Is it safe to assume that you're trying to integrate one of the supported models?  

    If I may refer back to our general scale integration guide,   How to: Integrate your USB scale with ShippingEasy, we have found that two things can often make an integration successful:

    • Step 8 - We highly recommend that you opt to save the applet file to your Desktop. 
    • Step 7 asks for you to enter the Vendor ID and Product ID.  However, do not select "Save" until after you have completed Step 10 ("Install Scale").
