Just like labels, packing slips are a vital part of the shipping process. They keep you organized, make your process more efficient and are seen and appreciated by your customers. Setting up your packing slips takes less than a minute and when you've made your selections, they'll remain your default settings unless you change them. ShippingEasy allows you to print your packing slips in two different sizes.
You'll have the option to print your packing slips from the ORDERS page before processing your labels and/or from the READY TO PRINT or SHIPMENT HISTORY pages after purchasing your labels. In addition, you can set unique packing slip settings, dependent on when you print the packing slip during shipment processing.
NOTE: Labels and packing slips can also be printed simultaneously without using a combination label via our Buy and Print feature and the Ready To Ship page. To learn more, see: How to: Buy & Print Labels and Packing Slips Simultaneously.
Setting up your labels to print from READY TO PRINT or SHIPMENT HISTORY:
There are 4 format options available when printing from the READY TO PRINT or SHIPMENT HISTORY pages.
To select one of the stand alone packing slip options, simply click the image:
- 4" x 6": formatted for a thermal printer
- 8.5" x 11": formatted for a laser/inkjet printer
To select one of the combination packing slip options, click on the Label Settings link below the image to configure your LABEL settings:
- 4" x 6" label, half sheet with packing slip: formatted to a 8x11 sheet for a laser/inkjet printer, compatible with Avery 5127 paper
- Combo slip: formatted to a 8x11 sheet for a laser/inkjet printer, compatible with OL829 paper.
From the LABEL settings page, click the image for the combination label/packing slip that you would like to use as your default. It will highlight and display a confirmation message letting you know it has been set.
NOTE: if you select the 4" x 6" inch label or the 4" x 6" inch label (2 per page) on the 'Shipping Labels' page, a packing slip will not automatically print with your labels after purchase unless the order has a Saved Carrier Selection assigned by a Shipping Rule. A packing slip can then be printed simultaneously with a label using the Buy & Print button on the ORDERS page. Learn more.
Setting up your labels to print from the ORDERS page:
Packing slips printed from the ORDERS page will always print onto an 8.5 x 11 page. However, you can select whether you would like these to print in Landscape or Portrait orientation. Just select your desired output from the Output Format drop down menu.
Customize your packing slip template:
ShippingEasy is ready to go out of the box with a "default" packing slip template selected. However, you can further customize your packing slip template to your stores' specific requirements. Learn more here about creating a customized packing slip template.
If you've added a customized packing slip template that you would like to be applied to your packing slips, be sure to apply it.
- Navigate to SETTINGS >> PACKING SLIPS.
- Scroll down to "Packing Slip Template".
- Select your new template from the Domestic and/or International menus.
NOTE: you can assign unique templates for domestic and international shipments.
You're all set to start printing!
