Can I create a return label for an International shipment?

Created:   |   Updated:

No. Unlike domestic returns, this option is not available. USPS only supports shipments originating in the US. Your customer will need to use a local carrier to return a product. We recommend that you clearly state in your return policy that you do not cover international return postage and the buyer will be responsible for all associated costs.

I know this is true for USPS, but we use DHL through InExpress for our international orders. If I go to create a manual return label, I'm able to select the "sender" customer's shipping address from our saved addresses, but when I go to create the label, it defaults them to the recipient field. Is that right? I'm hesitant to create a shipping label when it seems backward, even though that is NOT how I entered the addresses. Is this right?

Hello Jackie, and thank you for posting to our support center.

Unfortunately it is not possible to create a return shipping label for any International shipments in ShippingEasy at this time.

When creating a prepaid return label from your Shipment History, using the steps in the link below, you will notice that an error is generated for any International shipments, preventing you from creating them.

How to: Create a prepaid return label

We would recommend creating any international return labels for your shipments through DHL directly.

Also, if you have a few minutes, I would recommend placing a feature request for this in our Feature Requests forums?

These are monitored by our CEO and Product Team and used to prioritize future development work.

We look forward to seeing you in the Feature Request forum and taking an active role in helping to shape ShippingEasy!

    Thank you and happy shipping!
