Shipping Plants and Flowers - Perishable Mail | Overview

Preserve delicate flowers and plants by packing with materials that offer the right kind of support.

Delicate by nature, it makes sense to exercise caution when sending plants and flowers. When packing, be sure to use one of the following materials:

  • Tar-centered paper
  • Kraft paper waxed on one side
  • Kraft paper with a waxed or tarred paper liner
  • Plastic wrap

The tops of all bundles of flowers must be wrapped, and for plants and flowers with thorns, wrapping paper must be thorn-proof.
