Here is a brief summary of what's changing for ShippingEasy subscribers who have connected their FedEx account with ShippingEasy:
Effective January 1, 2018
FedEx Express rates will increase an average of 4.9%.
This includes U.S. domestic, U.S. export and U.S. import services. The minimum rates for FedEx Express services will also change.
Other services that will see this increase:
- FedEx Ground and Home Delivery
- FedEx International Premium
- FedEx Ground Multiweight
- FedEx SmartPost
- FedEx Freight charges
Effective Jan. 22, 2018:
A 2.5% third-party billing surcharge for FedEx Express and FedEx Ground shipments billed to a third party for retail customers that ship under a vendor account or use drop shippers.
Criteria and pricing will change for packages that require additional handling, are oversized or are unauthorized.
FedEx SmartPost will apply dimensional weight pricing.
