Allocate Stock to Unshipped Orders | How To

This feature is available to existing Inventory Management subscribers. Learn more about using the ShippingEasy Product Catalog.

ShippingEasy's Inventory Management allows you to allocate stock to your orders.

Stock is always allocated to your oldest orders first. By allocating stock to your unshipped orders you can prioritize which orders are shipped out. You can also ensure that you only print a shipping label for orders with enough inventory to fulfill all items in the order.Learn more about Stock Allocation.

In order to allocate stock, you must have the Inventory add-on. Existing Inventory Management subscribers will still have the ability to use the features specific to Inventory Management, however, we are no longer supporting new subscribers

Allocate or Deallocate Stock to All Orders

In order to allocate stock from the ORDERS page, you must use the Advanced View. Learn how to turn on Advanced View.
  1. From the blue navigation menu, click the ORDERS tab.
  2. Click the More drop-down and determine if you need to Allocate or Deallocate stock. Select the appropriate actions. 
  3. Then click All Orders.

  4. A message will then be displayed at the bottom of the page.

  5. Once you receive an email confirming that your stock allocation is complete, refresh your browser.
    An order is either fully allocated or it is not. You cannot partially allocate stock to orders. An order will only be marked as Allocated if all items in the order have enough inventory to ship.
  6. Use the "Stock Allocation" filter to view your orders that are in-stock and ready to be shipped! Learn more about filtering orders.

    The "Allocated" column is an optional column. If you do not see it on your ORDERS page, you can enable it. Learn more about customizing columns on the ORDERS page.

Allocate or Deallocate Stock to Specific Orders

In order to allocate stock from the ORDERS page, you must use the Advanced View. Learn how to turn on 'Advanced View'.
  1. From the blue navigation menu, click the ORDERS tab.
  2. Filter your orders using the options from the left-hand side. Learn more about filtering options.
  3. Click the More drop-down. Determine if you need to Allocate or Deallocate stock. Select the appropriate option.
  4. Then click Filtered Orders.

  1. Check the box next to the orders you wish to update.
  2. Click the More drop-down. Determine if you need to Allocate or Deallocate stock. Select the appropriate option.
  3. Then click Selected Orders.

  4. A message will then be displayed at the top of the page.

  5. Once you receive an email confirming that your stock allocation is complete, refresh your browser.

Allocate Stock in the Product Catalog to All Orders

  1. Go to the PRODUCTS then select PRODUCT CATALOG.
  2. On the PRODUCT CATALOG page, click the Actions button and select Allocate Stock to Orders.

  3. The stock has now been allocated to all of your unshipped orders!
    An order is either fully allocated or it is not. You cannot partially allocate stock to orders. An order will only be marked as Allocated if all items in the order have enough inventory to ship.
  4. From the blue navigation menu, click the ORDERS tab to view your allocated orders.
  5. Use the "Stock Allocation" filter to view your orders that are in-stock and ready to be shipped! Learn more about filtering orders.
