How to: Download a PDF label or document to my computer

Downloading PDF labels or documents to your computer can be helpful. Especially if you need to retain them for your records, share them, or confirm your printer is working independently of ShippingEasy.

For help downloading your PDF documents to your computer, select your operating system and matching browser below. 

Mac with Chrome browser

The Chrome browser includes a built-in PDF viewer with several control options in the top right corner.

It may be necessary to move your mouse cursor towards the top of the PDF viewer for the icons to appear.

Click the Download icon, shown as an arrow over horizontal line, to download and save the document to your computer as a PDF file.

TIP: don’t forget to name the file and save it somewhere you can find later.

Mac with Safari browser

The Safari browser includes a built-in PDF viewer with several control options towards the bottom middle.

It may be necessary to move your mouse cursor towards the bottom middle of the PDF viewer for the control icons to appear.

Click the Download icon, shown as a circle with an arrow and monitor, to download and save the document to your computer as a PDF file.

Mac with Firefox browser

The Firefox browser includes a built-in PDF viewer with several control options in the top right corner.

It may be necessary to move your mouse cursor towards the top of the PDF viewer for the control icons to appear.

Windows with Internet Explorer browser

The Internet Explorer browser doesn't include a built-in PDF viewer, so the location of any control and save options may vary, depending on the PDF plugin your are using.  

The most common PDF plugin, Adobe Reader, includes a toolbar that will appear just above your document. Typically the Save diskette icon will be visible on the far left end of the tool bar.

Click the Save 💾  icon, shown as a diskette, to download and save the document to your computer as a PDF file.

Windows with Edge browser

The Edge browser includes a built-in PDF viewer with several control options in the top right corner.

It may be necessary to move your mouse cursor towards the top of the PDF viewer for the control icons to appear.

Click the Download icon to download and save the document to your computer as a PDF file.
